A Fisherman's Life

Our fishermen lead a busy, demanding and often dangerous life. This special commission by Cornish artist Steve Cummins captures some of the quieter moments of a fisherman’s day, as they unload and deliver their catches, repair nets and catch up with friends. Fishing ports always have a strong sense of community, and this is reflected in this colourful, busy and nostalgic scene. Behind the fishing activity we get a fantastic view of the small harbour, its busy fishing fleet, picturesque waterside pubs, restaurants and the open sea beyond.
