Description
Mount Fitz Roy (named after the Captain of the HMS Beagle) sits on the Chile-Argentina border, in the Los Glaciares National Park. Its towering spikes of ice and rock reach almost 3400 metres, and it remains one of the world's most challenging climbs. Our wonderful photograph captures the early morning sunshine reflecting off the dramatic peaks, and contrasting with the shadowed river valley below.
